Dr. Breck Dakin, your Kansas City Optometrist
Breck Dakin, O.D. received his Doctor of Optometry from the University of Pikeville’s Kentucky College of Optometry (KYCO) in 2021 and earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Kansas State University. While attending KYCO, Dr. Dakin was the recipient of numerous awards including the Kentucky Optometric Association Advocacy Award, the KYCO Student Leadership Award, and the KYCO Excellence in Research Award.
Dr. Dakin’s strong passion for helping people and improving their quality of life lead him to pursue a career in optometry. He believes optometry is a very social profession, and he especially enjoys building strong relationships with his patients and their families which allows him to provide the best visual care possible. Dr. Dakin also feels that optometry is a field that is constantly evolving and challenges him to keep learning new methods of treating and managing ocular disease.
In his spare time away from the office, Dr. Dakin enjoys hiking, attending concerts, and spending time with his two Dalmatians.
